Built in the 1840s by ex-convict Thomas White, and facing onto Westbury’s Village Green the White House complex includes an operating wood-fired bakery, stables, garage, warehouse and cottage garden as well as the 10 room house and store which can all be explored. The property also houses a number of diverse collections established by members of the Clemons family and the bakery still produces a wide range of delicious items for sale each day.

Mrs Felicity Clemons purchased the property and set about restoring White House and later that she decided to establish a museum and open it to the public. White House was leased to the National Trust for a number of years but is now run by a group of dedicated volunteers in conjunction with the Clemons family
